The Rolex "President" Day-Date earns its name because many US Presidents have been known to either own or wear the model on their wrist. Lyndon B. Johnson, JFK, Richard Nixon, and Ronald Reagan are among some of the President's to have been known to own a Day-Date. With a stunning precious metal finish and an overall very bold and powerful aesthetic, it comes as no surprise that some of the most powerful men in the world would choose Rolex's most exquisite dress reference. The Day-Date was introduced in 1956 and continues production today. While there have been many upgrades made to the line, its core design remains on most references with a 36mm case size, a bracelet with semi-circular links, and a dial topped with both the day spelled out in full and a jump date mechanism. This watch features a custom champagne Roman numeral diamond dial along with a custom prong set diamond bezel.
