Rolex Vintage 16800 Submariner Stainless Steel Black Dail

Pre-owned Rolex Submariner ref 16800 is referred to as a transitional model. Rolex went from acrylic to sapphire crystal, an updated movement with quick-set date, and at the beginning of the run the watches featured matte dials like the previous 1680. Later in the production Rolex changed the dials to glossy with white gold surrounds. These are known as transitional models due to the blend of older and new features Rolex decided to use together. These early 16800's with matte dials are the perfect mix of vintage styling with modern touches like the sapphire glass and quick-set date.
